Here are some photos from my Blackberry since the summer time.

Our China trip

Full size
Natalia and I were delayed flying into Hong Kong, so we wandered Vancouver airport. This is a great aquarium at the YVR International
Departures area. Nice work YVR!

Full size
Here's Nati and a couple of Indian art pieces.

Full size
Nati and a beaver in a Haida carving.

Full size
Natalia loves the Air Canada Executive First cabins because of the lie-down beds and the full-size chocolate bars.

Full size
The view from our hotel in Xi'an. I thought the temples looked pretty cool. The smug is evident here.

Full size
Just looking at this photo makes my mouth water. This hot pot restaurant was outstanding! We were definitely the only
white people in the establishment and I loved the spice!

Full size
Natalia, in front of a restaurant in Chengdu.

Full size
Panda bears in Chengdu.

Full size
These bears would get up on the tree and then play 'King of the Castle' and beat the other ones down.

Full size
Look at his cute face!

Full size
Close-up of a giant panda bear.

Full size
Panda chasing another panda.

Full size
This is a typical view of Natalia in the back of our touring car after a day of touring. She was uncanny in her ability
to pass out while I interrogated our tour guide about life in China.

Full size
I REALLY enjoyed the knock-off phone markets in Chengdu. This is a knock-off Blackberry Tour 9630.

Full size
The coolest part of these knock-offs is that they have at least 2 SIM card slots so they can have data on one carrier and voice
on another. Pretty slick!

Full size
This is the largest hydroelectric project in the world - the Three Rivers Gorge Dam.

Full size
Some great English on a menu in China.

Full size
Sprinkles = rainbow candy needles.

Full size
This is legitimately a 'pork floss' donut. However, it has three S's. Awesome. No idea how they make pork floss...

Full size
Natalia on the Bund in Shanghai.

Full size
Natalia and Randall with the Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower in the background.

Full size
The view from our rooftop coffee shop in Lhasa, Tibet at sunrise.

Full size
These are the yak heads I REALLY wanted to buy. Natalia said 'There is no room in our house for that.'

Full size
The military presence in Tibet was actually quite surprising.

Full size
Natalia again had the luxury of the Executive First cabin on the way home from Beijing.

Miscellaneous photos

Full size
Evan McNabb playing Wii in our basement.

Full size
My friend Martin doing a little bit of outdoor climbing in Ontario. He gives this climbing business his stamp of approval.

Full size
My buddy Darrel Laturnas at Folkfest inside the Ukrainian Pavilion.

Full size
A few of the guys at the Greek Pavilion for Folkfest 2011.

Full size
This is my new favourite guy at Folkfest. He is Crazy Fingers Gordy Lindquist at the Norwegian Pavilion
and he's unbelievable on the piano.

Full size
This guy's mullet at the Norwegian Pavilion was fantastic. The Aquavit he was serving was less fantastic.

Full size
The theme of the Norwegian Pavilion was 'trolls' and my sister-in-law Susanna thought the trolls were creepy. Naturally,
she tried to creep them out creepier.

Full size
Erik Olson, the world's last remaining Viking, posing as Hagar the Horrible.

Full size
My nephew Luc hanging out at the Banda family picnic.

Full size
We went picking horseradish in Prince Albert and Natalia thought the roots were crazy.

Full size
My mom's friend Boris took us horseradish picking.

Full size
Natalia got a tour of my Mom's school and posed for a picture in the resource room.

Full size
Kurt and I enjoyed a good outing out golfing for the U of S Alumni event. This pose is stellar.

Full size
Kurt's friend was trying to move from passenger to driver without stopping the cart.

Full size
Jeanna Berg wanted to show Natalia her new makeup. Pretty nice JB!

Full size
This might be my new favourite photo of Jeanna. That's a deep fried pickle in her mouth and the ladies may have also
eaten a bucket of bacon that night.

Full size
A great appetizer menu in Calgary.

Full size
We went to go watch our friend Jeanna's Highland dance group at Globalfest. This is the view from the beer tent
on 27 Aug 2011.

Full size
Kurt and Jeanna and Jenn at Globalfest.

Full size
After a refreshing nap, Kurt and I decided to hit up his favourite Atlantic bar - the Trap and Gill. Afterwards, we
still had flasks left and so we hung out and tail-gated in the parking lot and met new friends.

Full size
These kids may have just turned 18.

Full size
What better way to start the day than with BBQ'ed bacon!

Full size
Natalia is at one of her favourite parts of the world - Calaway Park.

Shingling

Full size
My good friend Matt McNabb came over to help my father-in-law and I finish roofing his house. Matty was a rockstar and he
made the difference between a successful roofing day and one where we wouldn't have finished.

Full size
A leftover hornet's nest in my father-in-law's front porch.

Full size
Natalia and Elizaveta find all kinds of moss in the shingle piles.

Full size
Elizaveta and Natalia dumping shingles from the porch.

Full size
We rented a sweet rotating lift in order to get at the house. This was super fun to use!

Full size
Nati and Lulu shoveling shingles.

Full size
Nati and Lulu on top of the shingle heap. Nice work ladies!

Full size
A fine-looking home, with new shingles throughout.

Biking in Colorado

Full size
My friend Dan King and his wife Sheila at their ranch in Western Colorado.

Full size
On my biking trip through Colorado, this is a shot of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison.

Full size
Our bikes just before the rains hit us.

Full size
Dan and Luca with a great view into Colorado mountains.

Full size
Who's the coolest cyclist in the world? THIS GUY!

Full size
I thought this sign at a burger joint in Colorado was a winner.

Full size
My friend Nick Gartin and Harvey the Hound at a Flames pre-season game in September 2011.

Full size
I saw this crazy big inflatable cat and thought of Ross and Kelli...

Thanksgiving photos

Full size
Natalia and I made Thanksgiving at our house this year. Natalia enjoys playing with her food so here were her
cartoon comments prior to cooking.

Full size
Mr Yam making fun of Mr Turkey in the oven.

Full size
Natalia and her onion goggles prior to finding out that our oven had a blown element... Not the best Thanksgiving
turkey but glad that the perogies turned out amazing!

Full size
I made a pecan casserole (Paul Dehaan's recipe) and placed a 'P' in the middle. :)

Full size
Dave Grohl at the Foo Fighters concert from Kurt's awesome corporate box.

Full size
The Foo Fighters in Caglary, 27 Oct 2011.

Saskatoon photos

Full size
Carl is enjoying the view of his nice shingles.

Full size
Luc actually wore his hat that Natalia found him for all of 5 seconds.

Full size
Outside of Chris and Christine's house, they had a Hallowe'en display with an old NDP toque.

Full size
Luc Perrault, future NDP leader?

Full size
A winner of a bumper sticker.

Full size
Natalia and I went for a walk at the new provincial park by our house - Glenbow Ranch.

Full size
A sweet jersey at the Flames game.

Full size
Jeanna insisted on getting me a terrible bottle of death for my birthday. Yummy!

Full size
Before a night out in Calgary, Kurt and I unpacked his stove and got it installed. The ladies thought they would try to
sell it as though it were a sports car.

Full size
This makes me want to buy an LG stove for sure.

Full size
The Saskie crew went on a bit of a bender one night to celebrate being awesome. Lindsey doesn't even remember that Kyle was
out with us at the Ranchman's so it was a winner!

Full size
Luc is wearing Christine's sunglasses at Christine's house.

Full size
A very prego Nicole McNabb in her kitchen in Saskatoon.

Full size
Dave Grohl at the Foo Fighters concert in Calgary, 27 Oct 2011.

Full size
A great sign at the Vancouver Island Tech Park in Victoria, BC.

Full size
Since I've been spending more time in Vancouver, I now have a regular hotel. It's not as cool as the Delta
Kitchener (no squash courts), but the view doesn't suck. This is the view looking north at sunrise from the Delta
Burnaby on 4 Nov 2011.
