Photos taken from my Blackberry over the last few months.

Saskatoon in April 2012

Full size
I maintain that Saskatoon is one of the prettiest cities in Canada. Here is the Delta Bessborough taken
during a run along the other side of the Meewasin Valley.

Tandem biking

Full size
Natalia LOVES riding along on a tandem bike. Since the bike is so big, we don't own one and instead rent
from the University of Calgary. It turns out that the bike with no tires fits into my car so we took
it for a drive to the Glenmore Reservoir. Of course, Natalia used her magic skill to find an ice cream vendor.

Full size
Look how happy she is here.

I'm so pleased with my ski rack mounting assembly I built in my garage. At a cost of $8 in metal eye
hooks and an old climbing rope, I now have my ski rack mounted in the garage and not in my way. Yippee!

I was out for a run in Victoria around the harbour and found this guy with an actual parrot on his shoulder.
Did I mention it was 7 in the morning? Nothing like taking your bird for a walk.

Full size
The incredible view looking down at Surprise Pass. Pretty awesome. I plan on skiing this every year that
I can. Thanks to Louis Brown for joining me on this great adventure.

Full size
The day after our ski tour up Surprise Pass, Natalia and I decided to have an afternoon picnic at
Prince's Island Park. Here is Natalia enjoying some great food from Lina's Italian Deli.

My sister Renee convocated from her master's degree in Education and hosted a party in Red Deer that
we happily attended. Here she is trying out some Boone's.

This picture makes me very happy. Justin and I used his deep fryer and make deep-fried cheese,
which turned out AWESOME! Great recipe for cheese although it needs a double dip for onion rings.

Full size
Erik Olson and I took a troll to check out the new bridge development in south Saskatoon. Believe
it or not, they actually filled in most of the river so that they'd have a work space to build
the bridge from. Pretty wild.

Looking back at Erik walking from his car out along the artificial work site.

Full size
The reason we were in Saskatoon was to encourage my sister Renee in her half-marathon run.
Here she is with her friend's dad Phil.

My friend Rowley and I took a ride up to the top of Rainy Summit. Here is Rowley with some snow visible
on the peaks behind him.

I was in Vancouver on business so we took a drive up through Stanley Park. Here are the totem poles and I
in Stanley Park.

Biking up Highwood Pass

Full size
I really wanted to bike up Highwood Pass before it opened to regular traffic on June 15th. The weather wasn't
looking terrific, but I figured we should go for it. This is the view from the Delta Kananaskis, where Natalia
and I had a mini-vacation for the weekend.

Full size
Here is Louis at the Fortress Mountain parking lot getting ready for anything. We weren't sure how cold
it would be as well as how much rain would come down. In either case, we were ready.

Full size
Right, so it turns out that there was still a fair amount of snow at the summit of the pass. However
I think a lot of it turned up just in the last few days as it cooled off.

Full size
This is the highest paved road in Canada. I was pretty stoked to get up here before the regular vehicle
traffic starts up next week.

Full size
Even though I was warm on the way up, I was still pleased with my layer selection as it was pretty chilly
doing Mach 4 on the way back down the hill.

The two Brown brothers were doing the 'Steak and Eggs' routine from SNL.

Full size
On the way back from Kananaskis, Natalia and I stopped at her favourite place - Calaway Park, except the
Swing ride was closed due to the wind.

Hunting around for sheep in Banff

Full size
I had a colleague in town for the Global Petroleum Show and we finished up with a little time so we decided to
go for a drive to Banff. We ran into a number of Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep. My friend Louis tells me
that the one in front would be considered 'legal'.

Full size
I thought this guy was pretty big. He had a whole herd of little sheep following him.
