This is a mixed bag of photos from Walter and I's trip to Boulton Creek along with
family visiting while at Grandma Perrault's funeral in Sask and some photos and videos
of Walter's progress on learning to ride his bike.

Canoeing at Sibbald Pond

Full size
It was time to take the canoe out for the first paddle of the season. It always takes a while to
remember the process by which we mount the canoe solidly to the car.

Full size
Walter always enjoys the opportunity to fish, even if I put a plastic fish on his hook instead of a hook.

Full size
Here's Henry casting. Note the small size of the pond/lake, but the boys still loved it.

Full size
Henry and Rhys having a bite of lunch on the 'beach'.

Full size
Alf and I paddling 4 little munchkins around the pond.

Full size
After some fishing, some lunch, and some canoeing, the crazy nuts just wanted to run around
in the forest, which I always support. Here they are playing with sticks.

Full size
Here they found a little tree fort in the woods.

Full size
Maria and John popped into Cochrane for a visit, and John got to try out my sweet skidoo mullet jacket
while the boys fished at Mitford Pond.

Walter 'practice' camping with Daddy

Full size
Since our plans got shifted, we decided to still do a night at Boulton mid-week, but to just take
Walter with me. This gave us an opportunity to try him out camping by himself. We had some challenges
last year with him not really sleeping in the tent, so the intention was to improve that. Here he is
after 'helping me' set up the tent and shelter.

Full size
Walter was pretty excited to be in the tent again.

Full size
Camping didn't really speed up his eating - it still took over an hour and me feeding him. He just
has too many ideas about what he wants to do to be bothered with pedestrian things like eating dinner.

Full size
When Crazy Carl arrived with his trailer, Walter was JACKED to help out. Here he is checking out the
leveling feet and wanting to help.

Full size
This totally made Walter's trip and it was the first thing he told him Mommy - "I got POP!"

Full size
It wasn't terrifically warm on this night, so Walter is exploring the space with his toque and mitts.

Walter having hot chocolate and milk at the same time!

Full size
After getting packed up just in time to avoid being soaked, I took Walter to explore the Upper Lake.
Here he is riding his bike on the dam.

Full size
You can see the weather coming in, along with Walter's cool bike with a pink basket.

Full size
Next we explored the amphitheatre at Elkwood, which definitely felt a bit tired.

Full size
Since it was dumping, we popped into the visitor's centre to have a look around. Walter liked some
of the ~1990's era exhibits.

Full size
And the older 'video' exhibits too.

Grandma Perrault's funeral

Full size
Hitting up the splash park in Medicine Hat enroute to Swift Current.

Full size
After the funeral, we popped up to see Mo the dinosaur.

Full size
My mom had brought cupcakes and ensured that all the kids were properly sugared up. Here Walter shows
us the way to lick sprinkles.

Full size
Splash park means kids get wet, but have a lot of fun.
