Hanging out with Henry in Calgary in Nov 2016, along with a hike up Wasootch Peak.

Full size
Henry and Daddy reading a story. Henry loves to be read to and we graciously oblige.

Full size
Henry hanging out in his comfy chair in the bathroom watching cartoons.

Full size
Henry loves to go to the Watermill Bakery in Cochrane for cake pops. On this day, they had their
Christmas cookies out but no cake pops, so that was a good save!

Full size
Henry at the Cochrane Light-up. The local orthodontist had a major win with giving out light-up
sticks for kids. They ran out and kids were crying everywhere. But, now you know there is an
orthodontist in Cochrane!

Full size
Henry loves the bouncy castles at the Spray Lakes Sports Centre. Here he is on the third attempt,
trying to climb up to the top of the 'big slide'. He eventually made it, but not without a few falls.

Full size
Henry thought he won the lottery when we pulled an orange popsicle from a vending machine and it
had TWO sticks in it!

Full size
Henry's hair here is hilarious.

Full size
Henry and I at the Cochrane Light-Up. Check out the sweet wood and ice carvings in the bench.

Full size
I'm sure it won't last, but Henry loves using the Swiffer in the kitchen.

Full size
Henry and his friend Gracie.

Full size
Henry apparently likes the ribbons at his music class.

Full size
Henry throwing rocks in the Bow River at dusk.

Full size
Henry asked for a 'special lunch' with Natalia out for the evening, so we went to the 'palm trees',
our local Chinese buffet house. All Henry eats is fried rice, but he devours it. And, he sat on a
big boy seat so he was pretty jazzed.

Full size
"Daddy, they have blue AND green jello today!!!"

Full size
Henry and I took the opportunity on a sunny Saturday in November to go to the zoo. Here's
Henry having a look at the hippos taking a nap. "Daddy they have big hairs in their nose."

Full size
This is the first time I've EVER been to the Calgary Zoo and not had a madhouse at the playground.
Note that the only stroller is ours. Henry LOVED this.

Full size
We went to the tiger exhibit and found volunteers anxious to talk to anyone. They let Henry
play with a tiger's tooth.

Full size
And he got to touch an actual tiger pelt. It was a bit ratty (it's ~15 years old) but still
really cool.

Full size
He thought touching the tiger pelt was pretty rad.

Full size
A happy boy playing in the yellow elephant park by himself.

Full size
Henry made a new friend in the 'Trucky things'.

Full size
Henry thought he was living pretty large having an ice cream while watching the meerkats.

Full size
It was a bit of a theme this weekend that places were pretty quiet. I guess that's what you get
for going out when everyone is out Christmas shopping on Black Friday weekend and Grey Cup weekend.
Happiness is playing in the toddler bouncy castle by yourself for ~2 minutes.

Wasootch Peak with Crazy Carl

Full size
Since the valley bottom still doesn't have a lot of snow, we're still in scrambling/hiking season.
This is the view looking back at Mt Allan from the start of the hike.

Full size
A little bit more to the south, with a look at Mt Kidd.

Full size
This is Kananaskis Peak to the south of us. Lots of rock in the foreground.

Full size
You can see that Nakiska is open, but with pretty light snow cover, even in the top half.

Full size
I'm pointing out the summit for today's outing. Very little snow cover here, but it would have
been a really good day for partial crampons. Not the Yak Trax, but the other ones.

Full size
A look along the ridge to Kananaskis Peak (which we didn't do since I didn't like the downclimb with
verglas on it).

Full size
Carl gaining the summit.

Video from the summit

Full size
A celebratory drink at the bottom. 4h 15 mins car-to-car.

Full size
Another celebratory drink, but in our hot tub.
