These are pictures from hiking with Natalia in Banff, hosting Thanksgiving at my house
(first time ever), and Rider Pride at a Stamps vs Rider game in Calgary.

'C' Level Cirque hike in Banff

Full size
Natalia and I decided to go for a hike up to the 'C' level Cirque near Lake Minnewanka in Banff N.P.
This is Natalia stuffing her face with our picnic lunch on the way into the park.

Full size
The 'C' level cirque hike has a wide range of different plant life. The hike wound up being snowed
in most of the way, providing a nice change from fall hiking.

Full size
Here is Natalia picking her way through the wet snow-bound trail.

Full size
Natalia made a little snowman on the ruins of an old mine house.

Full size
The hike climbs up around Tunnel Mountain to a cirque above the park.

Full size
Here is Natalia looking into an avalanche-prone basin.

Full size
Up and over this pass gets you into the Ghost River Wilderness.

Here is Natalia with a nice view down into the Bow River valley.

We give this hike a thumbs up.

Thanksgiving at Paul's house

Full size
I had the pleasure of being able to host my family for Thanksgiving this year (except Denis and Leah).
I didn't prepare or cook much of anything, so really, my place just served as the gathering point for the
family. But that was nice to be able to have a space that could host, and to actually be in the same country!
Here is a picture of Renee and Natalia in front of my fireplace.

Here is the Thanksgiving crew - me, Leanne Dobson, Danielle, my mom (holding a pirate napkin from my b-day),
my dad, Natalia holding a paper turkey, Renee and Justin Fowler.

We also celebrated my birthday this same weekend. From a longstanding joke, my family thinks
pirates are funny. So, my mom and Renee organized treat bags for my birthday and in them were eyepatches
for all, noisemakers, and treats. That's Kelly Reitenbach at the back who joined us for my birthday brunch.
Thanks to Kelly for providing a great song for my birthday.

Rider Pride

Full size
The girls and Justin had never been to a CFL game, so seeing as the Riders were in town to beat up on the
Stamps, it seemed a perfect time to introduce them. This is a shot of Natalia throwing a ball through a
hoop to win a seat insulator from the local radio station (they gave it to her anyway).

Full size
Renee and Danielle at McMahon Stadium. They are wearing homemade jerseys that Danielle's friend
Kristy made for previous games. Gotta love the Rider pride.

Full size
Danielle and I found a couple of mullets.

Full size
We got to the game early enough to take pictures. Here is Danielle from just below out seats.

Renee and Danielle with the Stamps practicing behind them.

Full size
Renee Perrault - new Rider fan.

Full size
I never miss a chance to pull out my Viking hat. Seeing as we thought it would be frozen for the game
the weather gets the Paul Perrault stamp of approval.

Full size
We even took a nice picture for Justin with the Stamps inflatable helmet behind him.

Full size
You'd almost think you're at a Riders home game with all the green in the crowd in Calgary. Renee
and Justin are in the foreground adding to the green content (except Justin).

Full size
Danielle and Nati had some mean cheering going on as well.

Full size
I appreciated the bucket gladiator helmets.

Full size
My friend Jeanna Berg made the game as well, driving all the way back from a family visit in Saskatoon to make it.
What a hardcore fan!

Full size
We saw this guy as we were leaving the stadium. I love the thresher/combine with the 306 area code,
just in case you thought the green machine was somehow helping him cheer for the Stamps.
