Here are some fun photos from my father-in-law coming to visit me in Calgary.

I took Carl to the Danish Canadian Club for breakfast and he's enjoying here a great omelette made
by Peter as well as some odd 'cereal' made of rye and beer.

Carl and I had dinner and drinks at the St James Corner pub, right by the Saddledome.

I only had one beer, I swear! Okay, I had two.

It was paper hat night (or Telus Rivalry night) or something, so I put on a Flames hat onto my Oilers-
loving father-in-law.

Here we are both wearing them.

I got a Riders loonie back in my change!

Hiking in Kananaskis

Full size
Carl and I took a drive out to Upper Kananaskis Lake for a hike on a Sunday. The weather
was impeccable for mid October as the sky was big and bright blue.

It had just snowed a few days previous so the peaks are nicely dusted with some snow.

Looking out to the west, you see really nice peaks as well as a weird collection of deadwood
and debris that was piled up. I think it's done by the waves, but Carl thought these were
put together by some bored hikers.

Here's a photo of Carl looking back to the Opal Range and towards Calgary with the Lower
Kananaskis Lake visible beneath him as well as the power station from the dam.

Yours truly enjoying the bright sunshine.

We packed ourselves some great sandwiches and had a bite of lunch on trail.

For whatever reason, Carl thought this photo was entertaining.
