My friend Carolyn Thompson came to Alberta for the wedding season. She brought her
husband Forbes and we toured the area around Calgary.

We decided to have lunch at the Grizzly Paw in Canmore, one of my favourite spots. It turned out to
be a good time to stop as the Canada Day parade went right in front of the pub so we wound up with
a great spot to watch!

Next we drove to Banff to see the town. After getting a tutorial on ammolite, we stopped for
one of Natalia's favourite treats - ice cream. It turns out that Carolyn is quite partial to it
as well.

Natalia and Carolyn took a short foot break as well here.

We next toured up to Johnston Canyon and took the short hike up to the Lower Falls. Here is a
flower that caught Carolyn's eye. I'm not sure what plant this is though.

Carolyn and Forbes taking a short breather at Lake Louise, AB. We decided to complete their trip of
the Rockies with a tour up to the Chateau and around the lake. Thankfully, the weather cooperated.

Thanks to Carolyn and Forbes for making the big tour from Nova Scotia to see us! See you again soon.
