Footage of Henry's first adventure on downhill skis
along with some other misc stuff in Cochrane in Jan 2017.

Henry's first ski day

Full size
This was how our 'ski day' started - Henry wanted to play with blocks and wanted nothing to do with his skis.

Full size
For a while, he mostly just played with a digger in the snow. I'm glad we don't have to pay for a lift ticket
for him.

Happy little dude.

On his own.

Full size
It burns enough energy carrying kids down hills that I had to take my sweater off.

Misc photos from January

Full size
Henry, playing with big blocks at the Science Centre.

Full size
This was a study in pipelines that kept Henry occupied for almost 30 minutes as he moved a ping pong ball around!

Full size
This station produces energy from the treadmill, which Henry found pretty cool.

Full size
Natalia's family at our house for Christmas. Miraculously, everyone is looking at the camera!

Full size
Henry rocking a good look - underwear and a cape.

Full size

Full size
We went out to Ty's 3rd birthday in Water Valley and Mike had built a small pile of snow to
let the kids play on it. Here's Alf sending Rhy down the hill.

Full size
This was about as close as Henry came to riding the GT.

Graham and Paul up Burstall Pass

Full size
Graham and I took a morning tour up to Burstall Pass for a look around the area. The snow wasn't great, but
it was a good opportunity to stretch the legs.

Full size
Check out the sweet cornice behind Graham.

Full size
Close-up of what looks like a ~50 foot cornice overhang.

Full size
Graham looking up-valley towards the pass. While the snow wasn't amazing, the company was terrific.

Full size
This slope could take a few laps with better snow.

Full size
The epic ridge of Mt Birdwood, and looking back down the valley to Mt Chester and The Fortress.

Full size
A look at how little we actually skied down with a ~14 km ski in.

Full size
Some stats for a medium outing.

Full size
Heart rate zone data. Any morning you spend ~2 hours in zone 4 is a strong morning.

Full size
The rest of the stats - ~600 cals/hour is pretty decent burn.
