Some photos from my Mom's birthday along with visiting and climbing with Jeff and
his family from Portland, and celebrating Jordan Disko's life.

I'm definitely getting some mileage on Dan's bike, carting around Walter in the Chariot.

Full size
Walter is really pleased that he got some dedicated Daddy time at the park now that we can bike into town
without having to go on the highway.

Full size
My friend Jeff and his family came through town for their summer vacation and I got to take them climbing
to Grassi Lakes. Here are Jeff and his son Zane above Grassi Lakes looking back at the East End of Rundle.

Full size
We took up residence at the Golf Course for a few hours to give Zane a chance to play on limestone.

Full size
An idea of the scenery around as we're just above Grassi Lakes.

Full size
Zane climbing a 5.6 on the Golf Course wall.

Full size
Good times in pockety limestone.

Full size
Zane says 'I heart Canada!'. A side note here is that his sister Sloane and he played 'Oh Canada' on their
violins for our family at their condo in Canmore. Not a bad welcome to your own country!

Full size
The view doesn't suck here.

Full size
Jeff and I climbed on a 5.9 called Lawyers, Guns, and Money on White Imperialist Right wall.
While we climbed, Zane explored a cool cave just below some guys projecting a 5.12.

Full size
Walter, Sloane, and Henry accosting the big bear outside the tourist shop for the Grizzly Paw Brew Pub.

Full size
Henry and Sloane climbing in the park on an old rail car.

After dinner the kids were so excited to have ice cream. They played in the parking lot of the ice cream
bus while we waited, and then they say on each other as a game.

Grandma G's 64th birthday

Full size
My sister Renee made my Mom a birthday cake made with cream cheese she called a Drumstick cake.

Video of Grandma G and her cake

Full size
Grandma G and all of her grand kids minus Luc. I love Walter's face here.

Full size
Great picture of smiling Walter in the tub.

Full size
Walter rocking out a lollipop. Both our boys seem to love sugar, like their Mom.

Portland for Jordan

Full size
I took a quick trip to Portland to celebrate the life of my friend Jordan Disko. A tribute
to Jordan can be found HERE .
One of the great treats on this trip was being able to snuggle this beautiful little baby, little Quinley.
Look at those rolls!

Full size
Paul picked me up and we went to Level, a cool brewery near the airport that is amazingly really
kid-friendly. I'd highly suggest this place for any stops with children.

Full size
Eli likes to eat buns with ketchup. Yup, just ketchup. Paul and I both see something a bit not-right
about berating her to eat a hot dog (nutritionally dubious), so we figured this was a wash.

Full size
Violet Disko's boyfriend Matt runs Rusty Truck brewing and brought his cool truck/beer taps over to Paul
and Allison's, which was much appreciated. What a great idea! He also made a cool beer called a
'Strawberry Disko' that is actually pretty well-rated on Untapped.

Full size
The Rock Squad and the Disko family put on a serious spread at our Stoneworks gym. Big kudos to Robert and
the Matt for opening up the gym for this event. Tacos, fairy hair, beer, funny stories, and a slideshow. It was a
really nice tribute to a wonderful man.
