Some photos of our 2nd Easter during a pandemic.

Some photos from Henry's classroom

Here is Henry's self-portrait with traits that he sees in himself. 'Je suis ...'.

Skiing and Easter

Video of Walter skiing with no Edgie Wedgies

Full size
I think this is the first time our whole family is on a lift together - Olympic Chair at Nakiska.

Full size
Walter enjoying the sunshine at Henry's school playground.

Full size
On the 'buddy bench' having a bite of lunch after having biked here.

Full size
Henry's friend Gracie met us here since she can walk down from her house.

Full size
As we biked back to the house, Walter found a ladybug and that basically ended any forward progress
we were making for awhile.

Full size
Playing street hockey with the neighbours.

Full size
Walter took a turn at playing net.

Full size
My busted 'seven' ski as Walter calls it.

Full size
Walter climbing our wall, in a cardigan.

Full size
This is Walter to a 'T' - I say 'Smile' and he does this.

Full size
This picture Henry drew makes me really laugh. He drew himself coming down the stairs on
Easter morning to find jelly beans that he picks up and puts into his basket. You never know
what aspects of life kids just key into.

Full size
The boys decided they needed some sleeping bag time in the living room.

Full size
Trying out kistkys to make Ukrainian Easter eggs or pysanky.

Full size
I can't believe Natalia has the patience to try out a 3 year old with a candle, but he did okay.

Full size
Other than almost torching the kistky.

Full size
Henry was quite patient and made some cool patterns.

Full size
Walter drawing on his egg with the kistky.

Full size
Henry is making patterns here.

Full size
Henry being diligent about drawing.

Full size
Walter playing with my binoculars while I finish his egg.

Full size
Walter was pretty jacked to get to dump his eggs into the dye.

Full size
Another Walter special.

Full size
The end result of our egg carving session.

Full size
Grandma G sent colour comics from the newspaper and Henry loved it.

Full size
She also made him a new Harry Potter pillowcase.

Full size
Walter helped Natalia made babka, or Ukrainian Easter bread. He LOVES baking with Mommy so this
was totally a hit on Good Friday.

Easter Egg hunt in Water Valley

Full size
We were invited to Water Valley for an Easter egg hunt, which Walter was stoked about! He basically
found all of the eggs around the property before his friends Grayson and Rhys even showed up.

Full size
Walter and Grayson walking around and finding eggs.

Full size
Walter LOVES filling Easter baskets with candy.

Full size
Grayson enjoyed it just as much.

Full size
Rhys running around looking for more candy.

Full size
Henry looking for the last of the eggs.

Full size
Walter eating some of his finds.

Full size
Walter, Grayson, and Brandt even cleaning out Kristen's garden for candy.

Looking for more candy in the garden.

Full size
Henry and Rhys eating their spoils.

Full size
The second half of this sessino was a Nerf gun battle royale.

Full size
This might be my new favourite picture of Grayson - with a toy chainsaw going bananas.

Full size
Henry, Grayson, and Brandt actually all looking at the camera at the same time.

Full size
Henry, Rhys, and Ty enjoying their candy together.

Full size
The boys wanted to play with Natalia's 'Letter People' so I pulled out the box from the 70s or so.
There's a little light-up toy that lights up when you get the right answer, so I explained resistivity
of inks to the boys and then pulled out my multimeter and turned it into a teaching moment.

Full size
'When it says OL that means the answer is wrong. When it's ~10-50 kOhms, then the answer is right!'

Full size
With COVID going off for the third wave now in Alberta, we can still book the turf at Spray Lakes,
but basically just for our family unit. So, the boys get the 'play package' and kill it on the turf
for an hour.

Walter killing it on the wheely board

Henry picking up jelly beans on Easter morning

Walter doing the same

Full size
Henry having Easter bunny pancakes.

Full size
How beautiful is this?? Natalia is definitely more creative than I am!

Full size
Walter got an early bday present from my sister Danielle with rollerblades and a pillow/sleeping bag
combo that he thinks is pretty neat.

The boys being Easter bunnies.

Our Easter bunnies.

Full size
Our Easter dinner - check out the turkey roast wrapped in bacon!

Full size
I emptied the hot tub and the boys wanted to help. Henry finds the Shop Vac too loud still so
he needs his headphones on.

Full size
Here Walter blew out his pants at the playground. Apparently he was a bit self-conscious about it
for about 2 minutes and then proceeded to show all the kids at the playground his 'Spiderman' underpants.

Full size
Here's Walter working on a rainbow with Mommy helping.
