Here are some Henry and Walter photos and videos along with a hike I did up Loder Peak,
which I think I have tagged as 26/107 peaks from my deck.

We went to Calaway with the Fowlers since pretty much every day Walter wakes up saying 'CALAWAY PARK'!
Here's Logan and Walter on the Baja Buggies once Logan got calmed down with a lollipop.

Walter just loves riding the 'Skyclimber'!

We went to a 'historic reenactment' at Fort Normandeau for Jack's birthday. Yes, very age-appropriate,
especially once the guns and cannons went off and so did the screaming. The site is really nice right
along the low point on the Red Deer river and I think the kids enjoyed running around there along with
throwing rocks in the river.

Getting ready for the percussive sounds of the cannon. 'Fire in the Hole!'

And CUPCAKES! Look at the smile on Grace's face here!

Full size
Walter's regular stop at Calaway is the Tot Yachts - 'BOATS!' Logan didn't make it on this one.

Correction, he tried, and then bailed.

Happy little guy sitting in the front seat of the little train.

The solution to the crank in Logan was a lollipop. Now, he's having a hoot on the Baja Buggies.

Full size
And even a partial smile on Aeromax too!

Out for a scramble on Loder Peak

Full size
I convinced my friend Chris to come join me for an outing on Loder Peak to add to my peak total
this summer. It was a chilly start to the day, but was sunny and nice.

Full size
A little bit of hands on (gloves on) for Chris.

Full size
Chris says this is slightly more than hiking, but not much.

Loder Peak from Door Jamb, the first high point.

Full size
Once you're up and over Door Jamb, it gets pretty simple with a nice ridge walk.

Full size
Chris says it's a good day to be alive in southern Alberta with Mt Fable behind him.

And back to Calgary.

The cool thing about this scramble is that you don't have to go back on downsloping slabs. The route follows
a path (make sure you find it) and makes a loop into Jura Creek, which made for super interesting
fossils and creek bed hopping.

Some of the interesting water holes and water-shaped rocks in the Jura creek bed.
