We joined up with some of Natalia's friends to camp at Old Macdonald Farm for a 4 day weekend.
There were 29 children under the age of 10, and 25 adults. What could go wrong?

We arrived early enough on the Thursday to actually get some beach time, which was excellent since it was
well above 30 degrees that day. Here are Henry and Gracie playing with Gracie's pink flamingo floaty toy
in the campsite.

A few of the campsites are actually seasonal lots and they are decorated as such. Here is a
Snow White and Seven Dwarves 'exhibit'.

Henry's friend Gracie has a different relationship with dirt than Henry does. In short, she doesn't
let dirt get in the way of having fun.

Another shot of Gracie.

Walter LOVED playing at the beach. He found a little water hole and he was in heaven.

They had a LOT of fun at the beach.

Full size
Even though the first day was super hot, the rest of our trip was pretty cold and wet. We spent a bit
of indoor time at the mini-golf/museum and Walter enjoyed the tractors.

Henry, Ben, and Gracie played a lot of games, including this cupcake game.

Walter enjoyed the train rides from the 'Triple Nickel'. There are LOTS of activities for kids at this
campground.

Full size
We thought Walter looked quite the part of the trailer trash kid with his runners, diaper, and track suit top.

Full size
Another of the 'rides' at the Farm. Henry and Gracie liked the merry-go-round and it costs 25 cents!

Full size
The group site (number 8) we were at had an awful lot of open fine-grained sand (more like dirt) and
the kids LOVED it. It was like having a whole site full of sand pits.

Full size
I'd say that Gracie has rubbed off a bit on Henry on this trip.

Full size
Walter and Mommy slept in the big tent and Henry and I slept in my backpacking tent. Walter loved having
a lot of space to roam around.

Full size
He also quite liked the lantern in our camp box.

Full size
Push the button and it turns on!

Full size
Henry enjoying some hot chocolate. This site was the best use of tarping I think I've done before
and it meant we actually had a dry place to eat, which is great. Having said that, we got almost
gale force winds and LOTS of rain, so I'm kind of amazed it stayed up.

Full size
Henry played pretty hard with the kids - this is a bulldozer track he's wearing as a headband, ala Rambo.

Full size
This was the outcome after our camping trip - a whole lot of drying off time. Henry likes playing
with tent poles and he was 'making a roller coaster' here.
