These are some pictures from Oregon and my move to Calgary - July-Aug 2007.

Full size
This is my friend Allison Dehaan wearing my broomball shoes and my Viking helmet from Norway.
I wonder whether broomball is popular in Norway...

Full size
This is my lovely neighbour Myla Keller and her boyfriend Salvador. Myla was the nicest neighbour
a young guy could have because she always watched over my place when I was gone. In return I would
close her garage door when she left it open and then run the gauntlet.

Full size
On the recommendation of my crazy mover, Nati and I went to the Sextant. It's along the Columbia River
in Portland, OR.

Full size
Natalia has a serious love of Erath wine and so I took her to the Erath winery in Dundee, OR.

Full size
Looking out with a view to the hills.

Full size
Down amongst the vines. Nati had never seen real grapes on the vine before.

Full size
Look at the real grapes!

Me, trying to be artsy.

I then took Natalia to the McMenamin's Hotel Oregon in McMinnville, OR. It has the greatest rooftop
restaurant and it was actually the place that my first boss, Robin Getz, took me to in order to
convince me that I wanted to be an FAE way back in 2002. It was kind of fitting that I got to stop
here again before I moved home.

Full size
One of the last things we did in Portland was go on the Portland Spirit along the Willamette river.
The city looks a lot different from the water.

Full size
Along the south Waterfront.

Natalia enjoying a lemonade.

Full size
Natalia enjoying the summer sun.

Full size
I couldn't believe this place. I count 6 levels in the house and those are just the ones I can
see from the water!

Full size
A nice picture of the two of us with the Portland skyline coming into view.

Full size
This look says, "I REALLY want to go jump in the fountain but I'm worried that Tim Day might
call me trailer trash."

Full size
Our last night in Portland, my good friends Jeff Hemphill and Lisa Hansen hosted us. We relaxed in their
backyard and then had a great dinner at McCormick and Schmick's. This is in their backyard as I'm
trying to determine how to set up a swing for Lisa off their tree.

Full size
Our friend Avie Meadows made the trip over the Cornelius Pass to have breakfast with us. This is
at the Black Bear Diner in Beaverton, OR.

Full size
I think I told Avie to "look cute like a mom" here.

Full size
This is the bath robe that Natalia picked out for Avie and Jason's new baby. Early indications
point to a boy although I was so sure it was going to be a girl! Nice duckie.

Here is 'Mom' and I outside the diner in Beaverton, OR. I'm rubbing her belly for luck.

Portland Brewfest

Full size
The last event we attended in Oregon before flying out was the Portland International Brew Fest,
one of both Natalia and I's favourite events. While we were brewfesting, Paul spotted this sweet mullet
so I had him pose for it. Check out the stringy greasiness of it!

Full size
This is Natalia and I enjoying a few brews at the Brew Fest. Picture courtesy of Carl Marshall.

Full size
Carl sent me a shot of he and June finishing their ride to the Oregon coast.
Nice shot of Haystack Rock for sure.

Calgary zoo

Full size
Natalia's brother Eric invited Natalia and I to see the Calgary zoo with he and his fiancee Janelle.
Holy hippopotamus Batman!

Full size
They're just as attractive up close. Apparently someone got too close and wound up getting hippo
fecal matter on them. Where's the pooper scooper on that one??

Full size
Natalia Lynn, Eric Lynn, and Janelle (soon-to-be) Lynn.

Full size
Natalia and her favourite zoo animal - the giraffe.

Full size
A better picture of Giraffa camelopardalis . I saw this one's tongue and it's totally black! In Bill
Righter's words (kind of), "I'm half-black... IN MY MOUTH!"

Full size
I thought the pose that these two were striking was awesome. I mean, this should be someone's corporate
logo or something.

Full size
Why is it that I never see Natalia as happy as I do when she has a "celebration-in-a-bun" in front of
her? I must add that this was Natalia's FIRST chili-cheese dog. Brent Butt would be proud.

Full size
Eric also put a run on the chili-cheese dog and challenged my "Two fork" rule. I would argue that I was
at a disadvantage since Natalia spilled iced tea on my plate and that softened the bun, but I digress.

Sweet video of Eric putting down the chili-cheese dog while only using 1 fork for the debris: VIDEO
