Natalia and I took a trip to the mountains. We were also invited to
visit Renee and Justin for a rib dinner. There are also pictures from
a rainy trip to Candle Lake.

On the way to the mountains we ran into the middle of a mean storm. It rained so hard that we had
pull off to the side of the Trans Canada.

Full size
I was so stoked that I actually captured a lightning bolt on film (or in electrons). How sweet is that?

Here's Natalia enjoying a sandwich at the Banff Hot Springs Cave and Basin National Historic Site.

This was one of the original hot springs pools in Banff.

At the pool level. Imagine this 100 years ago filled with old people and crazy swimsuits.

This is the crevasse that the original explorer used to access the hot springs. Would you have had the
nuts to do it?

Sulphur Mountain

Full size
We decided to take the gondola up to the top of Sulphur Mountain. Natalia's so photogenic.

Full size
A nice shot of the two of us at the top of Sulphur Mountain.

Full size
We got someone else to snap a shot for us too.

Full size
We went for a wander around the summit and went over to the weather station. Here Natalia is showing
how concerned she is about the incoming storm.

Look how happy she is with a fresh lemonade in her hands!

Looking north from Banff. Nice night and nice colours.

Full size
Natalia and I hit up the actual hot springs for a nice soak after we got down from the gondola.

Nati in the water too.

In Red Deer hanging out with Renee and Justin

Full size
Renee liked her new biking helmet so much she decided to wear it in the truck too.

Full size
The ladies went out for a toodle on paddle boats.

Full size
They could be poster children for how low-stress teachers are in the summer.

Full size
Sweet ribs made by Justin on his grill.

Full size
I discovered that my camera has fun settings to play with. I'm not sure who the Congratulations are
intended for, but I think it's funny.

Elora Gorge, ON

Full size
I went to check out the Elora Gorge to see whether it had any decent climbing. It turns out that people
float down on tubes, but not a lot of climbing happens.

Full size
A decent bouldering wall, but nothing more.
