Pictures from the McNabb's tour through Oregon - July 2007.

Full size
My friends Matt and Nicole McNabb made the long trek down to Oregon to visit and get a taste of the
great Pacific Northwest. This is Nicole on a roadside turnout between Cannon Beach and Tillamook.

Full size
Matt and his lovely wife Nicole.

Full size
Nicole asked specifically for the "cute" wetsuit.

Full size
Natalia and Matt and Nic and I went to surf on the coast. I think Natalia was the only one who wore
the hood though.

Full size
Matt helping Nicole zip up the suit.

Full size
The standard monster surfer pose. Sweet job Matt!

Full size
Natalia carrying her big surfboard. The waves were small and so we got long boards.

Full size
My cute surfer girl.

Full size
Matt and Nic took a break from surfing and just ran around in the waves.

Full size
Is this Pamela Anderson from Baywatch?

Full size
Matt is waiting for the next wave to come in.

Full size
Matt had a VERY succesful day and got up on the board a few times.

Full size
He also ate a little bit of the waves...

Full size
Natalia is enjoying hanging out in the water. I think she'd be just as happy riding the board
in a slow-moving creek, but to each their own.

Full size
Nati is the master of getting up on her knees!

Nati on her board.

Full size
Matt and Nic on their way in and me on my way back out.

Matt and Nic at Short Sands at Oswald State Park.

Full size
I even got up on the long board once or twice.

The four of us striking a pose.

Full size
Gorgeous scenery plus gorgeous scenery.

Full size
We took a walk along Cannon Beach to show the McNabbs Haystack Rock and a really nice beach.
Nice smile Natalia Lynn!

Me playing with my camera at dusk.

Full size
It was a really nice evening for a stroll.

Full size
More playing with my camera. I was trying to catch the sun behind this rock.

Full size
Natalia in the evening light.

Full size
Because the tide was low, we were able to walk right up to Haystack and check out the
marine life - crabs, fish, starfish and anemones.

Natalia's pictures

Full size
I took the kids to their collective first conveyor belt sushi restaurant (I didn't tell them
that it was also my first time!). The restaurant is called Marinopolis in Beaverton, OR.

Full size
Matt and I in my kitchen in Portland. I'm proudly displaying my growler courtesy of my good friends
Amanda Hoffus and Adam King from Bend, OR.

Full size
The good folks at Analog Devices Portland office took Natalia and I out for dinner at a very nice
golf course - Pumpkin Ridge. This is Dave Dotter's home course and so I say thanks again for a
really nice evening.

Full size
A somewhat blurry picture of some of my Portland colleagues - (L to R) Joel Dobler, Darryl Carbonari
me, Brett Novak, Dave Dotter, Rod Goldhammer, Rob, Rathana and Richard Soenekker.

Natalia's rose album

Full size
Natalia had just bought her new camera and so she was learning how to take close-up pictures. These
are all from the Portland Rose Garden. These pics are heavily pruned since she took almost a full memory
card full of roses.

Full size
Nice colour.

Full size
Also, nice colour.

Full size
Dewdrops on the petals make for nice pictures.

Full size
Natalia in the Rose Garden. It's not quite the same picture as LINK but it's close and shows the difference between March and July.

Full size
A bee being busy being busy.

Full size
Natalia was trying to sort out how to take a self-portrait.

Full size
Try 2.

Full size
Then I tried. Which one do you think is better?

Bagby Hot Springs

Full size
Natalia's been dying to go to Bagby for almost 2 years now, so I finally had to take her
or she wouldn't have let me move back to Canada! This is on the trail into the hot springs.

Full size
This is currently Nati's facebook picture at the hot springs entrance.
