These are some pictures from Natalia's trip to Portland in early July, 2006.

After Jason and Avie's wedding, Natalia and I took a tour through western Oregon to check out some
hot springs. This picture is taken as we were heading down the trail to Terwilliger (Cougar) hot springs.
I would've taken pictures in the hot springs as it's a really nice area with several hot pots, however, there
were also (typical of Oregon) quite a few naked people in the springs. It's been my experience that most naked
people don't want their picture taken.

As we drove through the National Forests around Terwilliger, we found a really cool covered bridge.
This was near the town of Oakridge.

After a morning dip in the Wall Creek springs, we headed back towards the coast. This picture is of
a plant that we saw near the Wall Creek springs area.

Of course, since Natalia loves ice cream, we made a detour through Tillamook to have a bite.

To celebrate the fourth of July, my good buddy Nate West took Natalia and I on a river boat cruise
up and down the Willamette. This is a really cool house in one of the floating home communities
near Cellwood on the east side of the river.

Here's a shot of me making an "I'm somewhere cool and you're not" phone call to my buddy Kelly
Reitenbach from the back of Nate's boat.

Me, enjoying the water.

One of the coolest boat captains I know, Nate "Nate-Dogg" West, chilling out in front of downtown
Portland. There was a jazz festival going on, so there were a lot of boats in the water. Also,
quite a few people were hanging out waiting for the fireworks later in the evening.

Natalia, getting a little sun.

Full size
Nate, being the great guy that he is, also brought water skis and gear to ski in. Natalia is an old hat
at skiing, and so she went first.

Full size
Of course, she got up without a problem. Here's a video of her skiing as well: VIDEO .

The timeless Jordan Disko celebrated a birthday on June 30, 2006. We hosted him over at my place for
a fun dinner. Natalia made these great shortcake strawberry desserts she called Strawberry Jordanières.

For something fun to do, Tim and Natalia and I went out to Oaks Park to try out roller skating. None of us
had really ever roller skated before, but this roller rink is actually historic, having been here since 1922.
They even have an old Wurlitzer from 1955 that is still operational, although they only play on Thursdays.

Full size
Natalia found the skates a little bit wobbly, but seemed to enjoy it.

Full size
At the far side of the rink, there's a piece of the floor that has some humps in it. Here Natalia
is rocking out and riding the floor.

We wandered through the actual amusement park. I'll be honest. I have NO idea how this place stays in
business since it was a beautiful Friday evening and there was almost no one there. It was actually a little
bit creepy walking through this park, but Tim still found something that made him laugh.

We then took Tim's first trip to Montage restaurant. I get serious hankerings for Spicy Mac periodically
that can only be satisfied with some Montage loving.

Plus, how can you not be happy with a sword that contains your leftovers? :)

Here is a really great picture of Natalia in the Beaverton City park, enjoying her waffles from the
Beaverton farmer's market.
