Since the Highwood Pass highway closes Dec 1, and since we had had some great snow in the past
few days, we figured it'd be nice to go for a tour around Ptarmigan Cirque. It turns out that the
cirque itself was pretty wind hammered. But the area was pretty decent, for November!

Here are the 5 gentlemen I had the pleasure of skiing with - Ian, Ian, Tommy, Rob, and Tiago.

We skinned up towards the cirque to have a little look around. Here's Tommy with a view towards Mt Tyrwhitt
in the distance. Up and over that pass would put you at the Kananaskis Lakes.

Our goal today was actually to have a look around at the cirque. Because the conditions here looked so
'amazing', we decided to take a pass and instead enjoy some softer snow.

The boys and a view to the south. It's actually too bad that this area is functionally closed in the winter
since the terrain is pretty nice.

You can see three other skiers up above Tommy here. We thought about continuing up, but passed on it based
on how wind hammered the snow felt.

Once we got back below treeline, the snow was intermittently awesome and super consolidated.

Here's Rob looking to the north. We were really hoping there was an aspect to ski here but there wasn't.

We took three laps on these slopes. Here's Tommy at the top of lap 3 before calling it an early day.

This gives an idea of the steepness on this slope. Not too bad. It's too bad the snow wasn't great.

The sun came out for the afternoon and it turned into a really glorious day to be outside.
This is the glamour photo for Tommy and for Ian.
