Chillin' in Lloyd
Video of Henry and Walter on the little tractor at Earl's
Riding on the tractor with his little brother on the back.
Little playground in Spiritwood where we stopped at Papa Rene's Pizzeria for lunch.
For the third year in a row, we decided to spend some beach time at Waskesiu. Henry really wanted to go fishing
and this year, he actually let me put a real hook on his line.
Henry's first cast with a real fish hook
While I'd love to say I caught this walleye, a 10 year old on the dock had already limited out so he offered
his walleye to us. Good use of a fishing license I'd say! This was Henry's first encounter with a real
fish and he was excited, but didn't want to get too close. Good thing Daddy had picked up a chain prior
to this trip or it would have been a challenging trip back to the cabin holding it in our hands!
Daddy and Henry's fish (not really). I think I'm supposed to hold it closer to the camera so it
looks bigger though.
So, I have to say this might have been either my first fish cleaning, or at least for a VERY long time. I dented Natalia's coffee
mug as I tried to 'humanely' sedate the fish prior to cleaning it.
Not a terrible fillet job if I do say so myself. I'm sure my Dad would be laughing somewhere at seeing the poor job
relative to how he would have done it, but I was able to feed Natalia and I so I thought it was a win.
This is really the real purpose of going to Waskesiu - to eat ice cream. Walter was REALLY excited to be
having 'wet paint' ice cream since he convinced himself he wanted purple ice cream.
Henry and I went for a walk while Walter napped and he took this classic Waskesiu photo.
Along with another one he wanted to do for Grace with his tongue out.
The nature centre in Waskesiu is first-rate and we spent more than an hour just exploring and playing here.
A GREAT place to spend the day, especially if it's raining a bit.

It took us the better part of an hour to convince Henry that we couldn't take his dead minnow home with
us after he found it in the net.

Our family on the quadracycle, a 'family bike ride' that Henry insisted on.

Hanging in Saskatoon
Enroute back into Saskatoon, we hit up a spray park and had lunch. This park is actually quite nice even though
the neighbourhood isn't ideal. The park is called AH Browne, or the Mayfair Spray Park and the boys loved it.
Aunty Maria reading ALL of the grandkids a book.
Aunty Maria was also celebrated with a cake and ALL of her candles too. A note that this angel food
cake also came with a mammoth supply of whipped cream and strawberries. Another GREAT cake from a very
thoughtful Grandma Wendy!
We tried to set up a family photo. I sometimes find that the 'light level check' photos are hilarious
with little kids as they're just trying to do anything but sit still.
All of the ladies and the grandkids at the event.
The whole kit and caboodle from the event. A big thanks to Grandpa Carl and Grandma Wendy for hosting
this amazing get together at their new home!
Visiting Great Grandma Perrault in Ponteix
The boys always love visiting Grandma P in Ponteix. They also love her walker and love to ride it
around the Foyer.
