These are some pictures from the third annual Tektronix Invitational Trip for Skiing (TITS)

I had an interesting flight as I went from Raleigh, NC to Boise, ID just in time to be picked up
by our 15 passenger van coming from Portland to Jackson Hole, WY. That's Brian Mantel with the wig on.

Full size
This is the picture I've been meaning to get for quite some time. "How big are you Paul?" "I'm burley!"

Full size
Here are some of the players involved in this party. This is Mike "F*** You"
Silliman driving our booze barge.

Full size
Devin "The Mormon" Bingham chilling out sitting shotgun.

Full size
Nate "The only snowboarder" West somewhere in the middle of Idaho.

Full size
Brian "I have the gayest wig ever" Mantel. Surprisingly, he didn't think this was a problem to
wear into a redneck bar.

Full size
One of the better pictures of Brett "Lufa" Novak.

One of the reasons we chose to ski at Jackson Hole this year was that this year is the last for the
tram. The tram has been in operation for 40 years and is finally being decommissioned. Here the guys
are waiting for the tram, quickly sorting out that the 250 skiers/hour that the tram can handle is nothing
compared to the > 2000 skiers/hour that the gondola can carry. That's Ted at the back of the group.
He flew in from San Fran and Brian and Brett (after a 'quick' drive) picked him up at the airport.

Full size
The view up the > 4000 feet of vertical that the tram covers from the town to the summit. Great pictures
and information on the resort is HERE .

Full size
This is a shot inside the tram showing the "cattle car", as we were calling it. The tram was designed
to handle 60+ skiers, but in the last year of operation, they've dropped down both the speed and the
capacity so that there are only 52 riders in this picture. Yeah, it still felt packed to me!

Full size
Devin, at the top of the tram. Yes, I know he looks a little gay here. I think he's pretending to be
the Queen of England, or at least some kind of a queen.

Full size
Ted and Nate "Short shorts" getting ready at the top of the tram.

Full size
Probably the most notorious chute on the mountain is called Corbett's Couloir. This is Brett
at the bottom of the couloir, looking up and wondering how much we'll get beaten if we try it. Yes,
that's a 20 foot drop at the top of the couloir.

Full size
Nate, going up the lift with me. We had outstanding weather the first two days we skied. Totally
bluebird skies and no wind at all.

Full size
We wound up taking the gondola a lot more than the tram in order to try to get more slopes.

Full size
Nice shot into the valley around Jackson, WY.

Full size
One of the positions we saw Brian in a lot - on his hump.

Full size
Here is Mike at the top of Corbett's couloir. It doesn't look as imposing from this angle, but wait.

Full size
Yeah, how about from this angle? That looks like at least a mandatory 20+ feet of drop to get
into the couloir on this day.

Full size
That's Devin showing off.

Full size
Yeah, I almost dumped my pants just looking down this thing. And no, mom, even though I wanted to,
we didn't drop into this couloir.

Full size
Brett and the guys getting ready for another day of skiing.

Full size
I told Devin that I'd take a glory shot for him. This is looking out at the Four Shadows on the Cody
Bowl, one of the areas that is backcountry, but somewhat served by lifts.

Full size
Nice shot of Mike in the Rendezvous Bowl.

Here's a funny video of Brett "heating up" his camelback: VIDEO

Full size
Good shot of Brett enjoying the terrain in the Alta Chutes area of the mountain.

Full size
Here's a better shot looking at the bottom of the Couloir. Yeah, those are big balls.

Full size
Brett, doing a 180 off a small roller.

Full size
Brian, screaming like a girl after getting exactly 4 inches of vertical.

Full size
From the side of this ridge runs a hiking trail up to the Crags and the Headwall. I couldn't convince
anyone in this pansy group to join me, so I had to console myself just looking at it. I was actually
quite impressed with my soft shell from Beyond Fleece as I didn't ski with a Goretex shell all week.

Full size
After Brett's lufa surprise last year: Last year's pics
Devin decided to continue the teasing. Since Devin is the "nice guy" of the group, Brett didn't suspect a thing
from him and instead immediately blamed Brian and I. Here is Devin putting a lufa into Brett's helmet.

Full size
Devin putting a lufa into Brett's jacket.

Full size
Into Brett's boot.

Full size
Even onto Brett's beer.

Full size
Looking up to the Expert Chutes after some good snow.

Full size
I thought this sign was pretty cool. Jackson is definitely a steep mountain, but special?
I thought that was a little bit presumptuous.

Full size
The crew from the 3rd annual Tek Invitational Trip for Skiing. From left to right, Paul Perrault,
Devin Bingham, Ted Redfearn, Brian Mantel, Brett Novak, Mike Silliman, and Nate West.

Full size
Devin, enjoying a moment of rest. This is a little unusual because whenever you ask Devin
where he wants to go, the answer is normally, "Let's hit the bumps!"

Full size
We had dinner on our last night in Jackson at a BBQ place called Bubba's. This is a great sign
from Bubba's.

Full size
On the way home, we drove through the Teton Pass (Thanks Brett for driving!) and wound up with
a beautiful view of the Tetons. The big one in the middle is the Grand Teton.

Full size
Another look back to the Tetons before we started the long drive home.
