Some photos and videos of the boys playing outside, skiing, and at the SLS Family Sports Centre

While spring has come and teased us, it's been reasonably cool for most of April meaning that the
boys have still been crushing it outside, but they're just wearing toques and mitts. Here they are
at the skate park since the bike park isn't open yet.

Walter loves riding his strider bike inside the 'pool'.

Full size
Henry likes climbing around the outside of the pool and then going 'au cheval' to get to where Walter
is going to show him how he rides his bike.

Full size
We can now rent the entire dry pad of one of the rinks at our rec centre, which the boys LOVE!
Here they are riding their bikes inside the rink.

Full size
And Henry gets to play on their skateboards too.

Full size
Walter was excited to try his new inline skates from aunty D. Note the prophylactic use of pads here, which
turned out to be for the best.

We hit up Nakiska for our last turns of the season. Both boys have made a lot of progress and Walter is now
skiing and turning by himself on the bunny slopes, although he still likes to play with the hula hoop (thanks Stacey!).

Full size
Sometimes for Walter, it's as fun to play in the snow as ski on it.

Walter's friend Grayson (also rocking the hula hoop) and his mom Stacey.

Full size
Walter also really likes the learning area, mostly for the toys.

Henry skiing with his friend Rhys. Again, the secret to reducing the whining in kids is to do
activities and invite their friends to come along.

The crocuses are now up in Sunset and so we took the boys for a walk to count them.

Henry crocus-hunting with a nice view to our front ranges.

Full size
We can also rent the turf at the SLS Sports Centre, and the boys like playing with all of their toys.
Here, Henry is trying to throw balls at Walter and Walter is shielding himself with a parachute.

After I got the deck furniture cleaned up and set out, the boys decided they needed to 'clean the windows',
which basically means they both love spray bottles. I tried to teach them the finer points of using a squeegee
but I think it was lost on them.

Full size
Enjoying a gorgeous Saturday afternoon and playing on the deck. We decided that for the small number
of days we have dinner outside, it makes sense to have a smaller umbrella. So, we sold the big one and
got a smaller one which works perfectly!

Full size
I took out my new pressure washer and Henry insisted on using it on the downstairs patio while Walter
used chalk to paint the water fountain.

Full size
I thought this perfectly encompassed spring in the Rockies.

Full size
Here's Walter having a 'special drink' in the back yard while he played in the water table.

Full size
Henry quite likes the neighbourhood cat - Rozzy.

Full size
We had a decent snow dump so Walter got to make another snow man using the sweet set from Rick and Janet.

Full size
He liked that he could put two faces on it, one on each side!

Full size
Natalia found Walter's other bunny ears in a cupboard somewhere. Yup, this one is a fire cracker.

I actually convinced the boys to go to the climbing wall, but promptly forgot their climbing shoes, so they
climbed in their winter boots. Henry actually did really well.

Full size
Walter really wanted a Hedwig costume for Hallowe'en so we ordered one and he loves it!
