Here are the rest of our summer vacation photos.

Portland and heading north

Full size
We had dinner with my good friend Dave L and his family and saw this in a car parked on his street.
I thought it was awesome.

Henry having 'breakfast' at the Pearl Bakery - a cookie with icing and a milk.

Full size
We drove north up to the Olympics and camped at Kalaloch on the beach. Considering this is a rain
forest, we had unbelievable weather. Here are Natalia and Henry walking on the beach.

Full size
Here's Henry hanging out in his new camp chair that attaches to almost any picnic table.

Full size
Natalia finally found her favourite bacon pea salad at a Fred Meyer stop in Vancouver, WA.

Henry making faces in the tent.

Full size
He likes to play in the tent with Mommy.

Full size
We took the ferry from Port Angeles, WA to Victoria, BC. It wasn't the calmest ferry crossing as Henry
basically freaked out and needed to sleep on his Mommy the whole way across. That was after a car
puking incident that wasn't great. In brighter news, this bell on the ferry actually dates to 1959
when the Black Ball Ferry Line ran the first crossing as the MV Coho.

Nanaimo, BC

Full size
We camped at the Living Forest campground in Nanaimo so that we could visit with Natalia's sister Donni
and their new twins Heidi and Noah. Here's Henry loving playing in the water at our campground.

More digging in the sand with a view to the harbour.

Henry and Ilsa playing at a spray park near their house.

Full size
I thought this shot was funny since Henry is inspecting the water pipe.

Full size
The look on Ilsa's face is classic here.

A standard dad and toddler lunch at McD's. Ilsa crushed her cheeseburger and enjoyed herself.

Natalia and Noah.

Full size
I was very proud of my campsite in Nanaimo as we had a decent amount of rain and stayed dry. My
new 20x15 foot tarp helps that out for sure.

Henry with our tent.

Henry rocking out his new dump truck, also courtesy of aunty Donni and uncle Karl.

Full size
Henry is a good helper and helped me carry beer bottles to the recycling bin at the shower house.
Note for posterity - Henry was a TOTAL DISASTER in the shower house as anyone within a 50m vicinity
of the lady's shower house can attest. He came out and said, "Daddy, I screamed in the shower." I
was so proud.

Full size
Henry using his cement truck on a sand castle.

Full size
Henry was pleased we made a happy face with two sand castles, a pine cone, and a piece of driftwood.

Full size
Henry and some kind of car toy he was pleased with.

Full size
A sad dinner for Henry, but Natalia got some outstanding ribs from an amazing BBQ place called
Smokin' George's . Note the deep-fried smoked cheese sticks, amazing beans, stellar ribs,
and pulled pork tacos. We'll go back here again for sure.

Full size
Henry playing on the ferry crossing to Tsawassen.

Full size
He was mighty excited that we found popcorn twists in the vending machine.

Full size
Here he is playing with our dice (we play Farkle when we have spare quiet time).

Full size
Henry was so happy he ordered the dice.

Full size
We overnighted in Kamloops to break up the drive and here's Henry in a spray park.

Full size
A lovely shot of Henry and Natalia at the Giant Cedars boardwalk in Mount Revelstoke National Park.

Full size
Almost, almost, REACH!

Full size
Got it!

After 3800 km of driving, we made our way home (with a quick stop in Canmore to celebrate Maria's
