Some photos from our first snowfall and Thanksgiving at our house.

First, this delicious mushroom ravioli Natalia made. The best part about it is that we
don't have to go to Olive Garden to have it!

Out for a bike ride along the river in Cochrane

The boys getting their last bike miles in before the snow comes. This is an example of
a well-designed bike pathway that isn't too steep to pick up and drop elevation.

See the curvature of the small switch backs.

My friend Erik's wife Aimee got us two broccoli plants and this actually produced, or produced
a bit at least. This was the first and only floret from our deck this year.

We decided to go up to Ptarmigan Cirque the next day and found a bunch of snow and ice. Here's
Walter super excited to be playing in the snow already.

Henry and Walter immediately began making snowballs to throw at each other.

Henry carried a snowball up almost the whole way. Someone passed us on the trail and asked if
he was taking his snowman for a walk.

Monkey see, monkey do.

And of course they need to eat it too.

The neat thing about this trail is that you're up in the alpine in about 30 minutes. The downside
on this day was the snow/ice on the trail making it super sketchy for travel without crampons or
spikes at least. The larches are definitely done up here though.

Out for a fall hike in the mountains.

Full size
Walter struggled to get down the trail with the amount of compressed snow and ice. He's
actually wearing my down jacket here since he was cold.

Full size
After sliding our way down the trail to the car, we stopped at the Pomeroy for big cookies on
the way home to warm up and get smiles back.

The prize broccoli picked just in time since the next day was snow in town!
