Here are some pictures from skiing in Oregon and hanging out in Toronto, Canada
taken in early Februrary.

My new skiing buddy Haydar Kutuk and I decided to go have a look at the backside of Tom, Dick, and Harry
Mountain to assess the snow for later adventures this winter. This is along the Mirror Lake trail
which takes around 1.5 hours of light hiking to get up to the lake level.

A look up the bowl on Tom, Dick, and Harry, from Mirror Lake.

The other side of the lake, looking towards the Ski Bowl resort area.

Haydar skinning up the ridge line with Mt Hood behind him.

Full size
Looking east, you can see Government Camp, and parts of Ski Bowl ski area.

Full size
It's still a little wind scoured right along the ridge.

Full size
We skied along the ridge since the snow was a little too firm to really enjoy. Looking south from
the ridge into the Still Creek valley, I'm pointing out a nice line.

Full size
This would be a sweet-looking line with a little softer snow on it.

Full size
We rode the ridge all the way to the east, where it drops back into the outer boundary of Ski Bowl
ski area. Here I am along the ridge with my skins still on.

Here are the best ski pants in the world care of Mountain Equipment Co-op. Hood was a little
bit socked in near the top. I'm glad we didn't wind up summitting Mt St Helen's as it would've
been a disappointment.

Haydar looking back along the line that we'll wind up getting quite a few turns on this spring.

In Boston

Full size
I had the luxury of getting to go see a Bruins game while in Boston on business. This is one of
the ice girls doing her job.

Full size
The massive 6 foot 9 Zdeno Chara. It's said he's the biggest guy to ever play in the NHL. That's Tim
Thomas in net for Boston.

Full size
From left to right, Chris Mills' Keith Tkachuk jersey, Lee Space, and Steve Gallo. Sorry Chris,
I'll have to make sure to get a picture of you the next game we go to.

Full size
That's Glen Wesley (#2 for Carolina) and I think that's Eric Staal getting checked into the glass.

Full size
Steve Gallo and I enjoying a fun night out. Yeah, that's right, I was one of those guys wearing
a jersey from neither team, but it was my first night out with my new Crosby jersey.

In Toronto

Full size
I had the pleasure of being able to visit with some friends in Toronto. It's actually been years since I
got to spend some time with my friend Bud Sambasivam, so it was great joining him to watch the Penguins game
at Wayne Gretzky's restaurant with Jon and Des Bowes, as well as Bud's co-star Sarah Pooler. Here they are
walking up to Levi Goertz's place near the U of T for a pancake breakfast.

Full size
It turned out that Sarah Grant (from EIDHL hockey fame playing for the Electrical Engineers) was also
in attendance for the epic pancake feast. She's working for a wind energy firm in Hamilton and had
come up for the weekend.

Full size
You know how some people you know, you're actually a better person because you know them? Levi Goertz
is one of those people and he hosted us for breakfast on Sunday with his lovely co-star ____. Levi and
Bud are working for Engineers without Borders - website
in Toronto.

Full size
We're walking through Levi's neighbourhood here. It was more than a little chilly, but Levi's got
it covered with his MASSIVE jacket! :)

Full size
I took this picture for my friend Deb Disko. This is H & M I think on Bloor.
