The 4th annual Tektron!x Invitational Trip for Skiing (TITS).
This year, we had a slightly different crew with our good buddy Nate West
being unavailable due to being in Shanghai, and Ted being a pansy. The usual
suspects were Devin Bingham, Brian Mantel, Mike Silliman, Brett Novak, and I
and we picked up Devin Burt on waivers to round out the crew. Whistler was
the chosen locale this year and so we made the trek north.
Previous TITS excursions can be found here: JACKSON HOLE 2006 , KIMBERLEY 2005 , KIRKWOOD 2004

The first day we arrived, we had a beautiful morning. It was a good thing I had my camera that day since
the visibility and the weather in general deteriorated from there. Here is Brett at the top of the
Big Red Express lift on Whistler Mountain. That's one of the restaurants visible behind Brett, and the
alpine views behind that.

From the top of Whistler Peak, there are beautiful views to be had looking into Garibaldi Provincial
Park. The runs from the Peak range from solid black runs like Whistler Bowl to pretty tough chutes
like Cirque. From the Peak, you can also access the backcountry and head south into the park, which
you can see untouched below.

Some of the best snow we found was in this bowl off the Harmony chair. That's Mike at the bottom
with Brett and Devin Bingham coming behind. The top of the cornice was a great little drop-in to
start the run and the fresh snow made it pretty excellent.

Mike Silliman, of pinball-machine-repairing, beer-making, unicycle-riding fame. Mike also
hammered on his brand new K2s for this trip, finally replacing the straight sticks.

Brian Mantel. Brian learned a good lesson on this day. Much beer + no sleep + good snow = sore Brian.

Devin Bingham at the bottom of the Harmony bowl. Devin impressed me again by his skiing prowess
after having skied exactly zero days this year prior to this trip.
