A mixed bag of photos from our first couples ski trip without kids, along with
some photos and video of the boys.

First photos of the boys

After a hard day of crushing it, Walter needed to nap. Sadly he doesn't get these often enough.

Henry and Daddy go to a Flames game

Full size
Since we had tickets to the Flames matinee on Family Day, Henry and I took a stroll through the Core
shopping area since it has the Devonian Gardens in it. This is a great 'bad weather' stop as kids love
wandering through malls without people in them (it opens at noon on Sundays and holidays). This is a
display of candy hearts that Henry loved.

Full size
Henry and I had a picnic lunch at the Devonian Gardens before playing on the indoor playground.

Video of Henry spinning on the playground

Full size
The other thing that makes the Devonian Gardens excellent on a Sunday or holiday is that the City Parks
crew host a bunch of board games in the quiet corner of the Gardens. Here Henry is playing The Honey Bee Tree game.

Full size
They also had Paw Patrol Jenga and original Jenga along with a big Connect 4 that was set up too.

Full size
Intense focus on getting the blocks out.

Full size
Henry also nailed the timing here as he wound up getting to feed the big coy.

More coy feeding.

Henry and I next went to the Flames game for the afternoon. Here's Henry watching the warm-ups.
"Daddy when will the fire come out?"

Full size
Henry and I at the game.

Full size
Do you think this was a hit?? I was really pleased with Henry on this day as the Flames scored 5 goals
in the 3rd period and a very shy Henry actually high-fived the guy in front of us by the 5th goal.

Full size
I took the boys for a Canadian Tire outing followed by the Parent Link for a Saturday morning.
The buyer at Canadian Tire likes buying massive garden ornaments so that the 'slightly-less-massive'
ones seem normal.

Full size
Henry out for a family ski at Nakiska. He quite likes his goggles courtesy of our friend Graham's school
leaving a bunch of goggles at COP. Thanks Graham!

Full size
Walter with goggles and a helmet ready to kill it.

Full size
Natalia got a chance to ski with Walter on the bunny slope at Nakiska. He seems pretty happy here.

Full size
Henry has decided that he quite likes the Bronze Chair now. Here we are on the lift up.

And here's Henry skiing down the Bronze Chair - "I'm a race car!"

Full size
I took the boys to the Zoo and we stopped at the Lazy Loaf first. Walter was blown away at the options here.

Full size
He settled on a cupcake (from which he only ate the icing),

Full size
Henry got a cookie as large as his head.

Full size
The boys (and I) love seeing the penguins as they swim around and make noises at each other. This one
was staring down Henry.

Full size
The red pandas were super cute.

Full size
Henry said "Daddy, the red pandas and I have something in common - we both like eating green apples!"

Full size
Since it was a bit cooler, there was no one at the Zoo and so we got to see the tiger up close and personal.

Full size
Walter legitimately roared at the tiger through the glass. Pretty awesome.

The boys chasing each other down the slide

Full size
Henry is definitely my son. On the way into the zoo, he said he wanted to go to a playground so we checked out the
map and when I told him what direction we needed to go, he said "You're WRONG Daddy! We go this way!".
Adolescence will be a party no doubt. Here he is rocking the hippo statue as he wanted to climb it.

Full size
I thought this little meerkat was awesome and reminded me of my friend Kurt.

Full size
The boys riding a lion.

Full size
Of course Walter also had to ride in front for a photo too.

Full size
Walter and I inside the egg at the entrance. Look at the unbridled enthusiasm in this child.

Whitefish with cool people

Full size
We convinced two other couples to abandon their children and come for a party weekend at
Whitefish with us. While we didn't get a lot of fresh snow, we did have a lot of fun.
Here are Natalia, Alf, Stacey, and I found Jesus at Whitefish Mountain Resort.

Full size
After a big day on the slopes, Natalia took a breather at our condo.

Full size
Natalia on some fresh corduroy slopes.

Full size
Big smiles for Natalia's first ski outing in almost 7 years.

Full size
Natalia and Stacey enjoying some sunshine on the slopes.

Full size
We ordered up an Uber to get us home from the bar since we missed the last shuttle bus. Here Natalia and
Stacey are investigating the trunk of this Jeep so that we could all get home safety. Well-played ladies.
