The third annual Barney Clark Memorial was held this year at Whitefish Mountain
Resort in Montana. This was the first time skiing at Whitefish for all members
except Paul P, and we got treated to some world-class powder, and world-class
debauchery.

First, some Henry photos

The Cochrane Winterfest was a fun event again this year. Henry got to sit in a snowplow!

Full size
And he got to roll around and push around a big bouncy ball.

Full size
I'm not sure why this was a fun thing to do, but Henry jumped into his dump truck.

After driving down to Whitefish and picking the boys up at the Kalispell airport, we got
blessed with 9 inches of fresh stuff after it had snowed 63 inches in the previous 7 days!
Here are Paul D and Carl on the back side of Whitefish, skiing some sweet powder. I should
note this was SIGNIFICANTLY better than the snow we had at Mt Baker. This was also Carl's
first ski-in, ski-out trip and he's now hooked.

Ross and Bill also liked the fresh soft powder on the back side. The snow ghost are also pretty
cool up near the summit.

Later that night, we went for a tour to see the Great Northern Brewery. Here are Ross and Bill doing
a shot ski of beer.

Carl got in on it with the bartender as well.

With Paul D cheering him on.

Paul D and I doing the shotski too.

We next went on to the Great Northern bar, no relation to the brewery. Here's Paul checking
out the wildlife.

Full size
And more wildlife, this time used as a foot stool.

Full size
I would also argue that this guy was some serious wildlife, what with the sweet mullet, and no
front teeth. He really like Paul though and wouldn't leave his side.

With a pool table, poker table, and shuffleboard table, this place was a huge hit with the boys.
Once we found a mini chalk board too, that just made it even funner.

The entrance to the Bulldog, one of the classiest establishments I've been in for sure.

Here is a very happy Paul D at the Bulldog.

Paul liked the stickers at the Bulldog. See the Bulldog online HERE .

At the bierstube (the best apres-ski bar in the country), Bill wound up buying an obnoxious
number of raffle tickets from these ladies, to support backcountry skiing for disabled people.
I hope Bill wins either the skis or the snowboard! The best part was that he made a deal to
buy the raffle tickets but he didn't want to actually print his name, so he paid the raffle girl
to do it.

Every bar should have a head rest at the urinal - also found at the Stube.

Full size
Bill was so thrilled when I fell over near a tree on the backside that he actually stopped to take
a photo before offering assistance.

Full size
The boys at the Stube - thanks to Ross for the photo. I think Bill looks angry here - maybe because
he bought ladies' bibs??

Video of me skiing the powder - thanks Bill

This gives an indication of the damage we did on this trip. Can you guess which days we were at
Whitefish??
