At West Edmonton Mall
Full size
We took the boys for a couple of nights to the Fantasyland Hotel in Edmonton so that they could have
a vacation even with the COVID mess we're still in. Here they are riding the train at Galaxyland.
Full size
Henry and Walter back on the ride-on animals. You'll notice that they're pretty rough-looking as the
mall figured out that they can charge more to ride on these guys IN the mall, so all of the nice ones
went up there.
Full size
Our whole family on the ride-on animals.
Full size
Walter and Mommy on the mini ferris wheel.
Full size
Henry and I watching the roller coasters go by. While Henry seems fascinated by roller coasters, he has
very little appetite to actually ride on them.

Back on the Dragon Wagon, this time in the front seat!
Full size
And he convinced his brother to join in too.
Full size
There was no one here so the boys did 6 straight rides on the Dragon Wagon. But much to my chagrin, they
wanted nothing to do with the other (better) roller coasters.
Full size
Walter quite liked this pirate Lego guy at the Lego store in West Edmonton Mall.
Full size
We got a truck room, which the boys were quite excited about. While it wasn't very clean, I have to
hand it to the hotel for being able to extract as much money as they do out of a very tiny room. Good for them.

They both really liked the 'Who Are You' interactive exhibit at the Lego store where it scans your
palm and then randomly makes a Lego character like this sweet hot dog dude.
Full size
Natalia and the boys at the World Waterpark, where it was a balmy 27 deg C! See, I took my wife somewhere
hot for her big birthday. The boys were super jacked to rent tubes and play in the wave pool, and really
didn't do a lot of slides. But, the wave pool was a massive hit!
Full size
Taking the remote control boats for a ride is always a highlight for Henry. Walter, of course, stuck his
loonie into a broken unit so that didn't go well for him.
Full size
Natalia having a margarita and chicken madeira pasta on her birthday.
Full size
We took Natalia out to Moxie's for her birthday and the boys were super excited to get 'science in a cup',
dry ice with their ice cream sundaes.
Full size
Super thoughtful gesture from her friends Stacey, Erin, and Christina.

This is what Walter bought with his xmas money from Grandpa Carl and Grandma Wendy.

Walter had dumped his Lik'm Aid on the floor so there was only one solution here.
Playing in Bragg Creek
Full size
We are lucky to have friends with a giant 'backyard' and so we get to play out there socially distanced.
Here are Henry and Rhys climbing on a giant snow pile, building a tunnel.
Full size
Walter and Grayson ready to ride on the tube.
Full size
They had built a mini luge track that the boys love to ride down.

Alf and I broke through and connected the tunnel, which Walter thought was sweet as he ducked in there.
Full size
We decided to go to Nakiska the same day as all of Calgary since there was a brief reprieve in the
-30 spells. The result was long line-ups, but the kids still had fun.
Full size
Grace and Logan came to Cochrane for three sleeps so that their parents could work with schools closed.
Here is Grace trying to get onto the sled for a ride.
