We sent Natalia away for the weekend and hung out in Cochrane. With
COVID-19 shutting everything down, we had to be a bit more creative to
find fun options for the boys to do. And it was -36 deg C with wind chill
so lots of outdoor options got limited fast.
First, from last weekend with Grace, this is the 'birthday party' that they did for Marshall. This
is what I opened my office door to as all of the 'attendees' were still at the table.
And here they are with the two Duplo cakes they made for Marshall and Big Bunny.

So, the Spray Lakes rec centre hadn't closed everything yet and the open skating was still going.
I took the boys for a skate and we had basically private ice for 90 minutes, which was awesome.
Walter was pretty stoked to get to use the dressing rooms to change into skates.
He'll be a quick learner on skates as he was trying to go as fast as possible while holding onto this
little helper (and me keeping him from eating it).
We had a picnic lunch on the players' benches since that was the 'magic spot' per Henry.
Then, the boys earned themselves massive soft serve ice creams from being good listeners and eating
all of their lunches. Again, NO ONE was here. We had a fun pizza party and play date with Rhys and
Grayson later that afternoon but I didn't capture any of it in photos.
This is the pasta aisle at No Frills on Sunday March 15th in the morning. Kind of sick.
After an outing to No Frills and Bulk Barn, it had warmed up enough to go for a cross-country ski at
Redwood Meadows. I didn't realize that they were track setting part of the golf course and it's flatter
than West Bragg, which is better for the little guys. Within seconds of getting into the parking lot at
the golf course, Henry had scaled this snow bank and was doing laps on the slide.
Walter then found a way around the back of it that wasn't as steep and it was ON.
Rhys and Grayson arrived a few minutes later and this turned into the main event on the snow banks.

The sunshine was absolutely stunning out here and when Henry and Rhys weren't getting free rides
behind the Chariot, they did pretty well skiing.
Meanwhile Alf and I got the job of pulling the little guys around once they gave up on skiing.

Henry and Rhys probably skied almost half of the loop so I was pretty proud of them.
