Some photos from Easter and from the boys' last ski outing for Winter 2022

First a look at the boys' Easter baskets.

Video of Walter following Natalia around at Nakiska

Full size
Henry and I once again found the tunnel at Nakiska. We went hunting for the mascots too
but weren't able to find too many.

Full size
Since it was getting to the end of the season, Nakiska had a balloon twister and the boys all
wound up with swords. Boy, were they excited!

Full size
After Rhys pushed him a bit, Henry decided he wanted to go up the Gold chair, his first time.

Full size
Henry had a tougher time on this descent, but he did well and made it down with minimal whining.

Natalia and Stacey having a drink together in the parking lot. Natalia decided to drink from
a kids' bowl since she rolls like that.

Blaine and I jumped down to the nice seats for the 3rd period of a game against Phoenix.

Full size
Blaine and I couldn't believe that this guy had a Colborne jersey, let alone a signed one!

Full size
My first indication that I had COVID.

Full size
And boom.

Full size
So since I had 5 days of isolation, I basically just worked and played with the boys at home.
We figured it was pretty much inevitable they were getting it, so we just stayed home until they
did. Here is a shot of Walter's enthusiasm for life.

Full size
I got our spring stuff done around the house like draining the hot water tank, washing the windows,
putting out all of the patio furniture, and getting our water fountain running again. It turns out
that the secret to getting more than 2 months from a DC pump is to actually put it in a sock to
protect against worms in the impeller.

Our sweet lower deck with furniture cleaned up.

And my favourite room in our house, our upper deck.

View to the front range of the Rockies.

And with the awning out.

Full size
The boys say that 'Life is Good on the Deck!' Of course having a ginger ale with a
goofy straw doesn't hurt either.

Full size
I think Henry is telling us that he's in the Wutang clan, but I'm not sure.

Full size
5 days after testing positive, I decided to crank on my trainer a bit. While I sure didn't feel
awesome, I was surprised that Garmin only thought I was a -2. So that's something.

Walter's birthday

Full size
While this may not make sense to anyone else, I want to record it here for posterity.
The night before Henry's birthday he decided unilaterally that he wanted to 'surprise' Walter
with a card and his own $5 bill. He placed these stickers on the way from Walter's room to the
living room so that Walter would find the card.

Full size
This says 'Open this at 7:30am'.

Full size
The card that Henry made for his brother and stuck a $5 bill (his own money) inside it.

Full size
Walter with his birthday present - a new Wii game.

Full size
Daddy found this on Amazon since virtually no one sells new Wii games anymore. I'm pretty sure
it's counterfeit but Walter doesn't care that he didn't get instructions - he can figure almost
anything out on the Wii.

Playing the arcade 'mini games' that come with Pacman Party.

Full size
Even though Walter was in isolation for his birthday (and so couldn't go to Big Box with his friend Grayson),
he still got to have an ice cream cake and play with his brother.

Full size
and without his brother.

Happy birthday to Walter
