Here is a mixed bag of Henry and Walter photos and videos in Nov 2019.

Our friend Alf took us on a golf cart tour of their course which the boys LOVED! Imagine zipping around
on a golf cart and periodically getting to play in the biggest sand boxes ever. This is one of the greens that
Alf was trying to keep from getting winter killed.

While Rhys' little brother wound up with a stomach flu forcing a quick departure, Rhys' Mom Stacey moved up the
cake cutting and singing so that our boys could have some cake.

Gracie and Henry's adventures to the Central Library
We often pick up Henry's friend Gracie for outings since it serves a few purposes - 1) they LOVE hanging out
together, 2) Gracie's parents (who have twins) get a bit of a break, 3) Gracie is a real joy to spend time with,
and 4) did I mention they LOVE hanging out together? On this trip, we elected to take the C-train to the
Library in Calgary, along with a few stops along the way. Here the kids are getting excited to see the C-train arrive.
Walter rocking out his goldfish snack on the train. Having Gracie along is also nice for Walter since it means
that mostly Henry stays out of his way and lets Walter explore a bit more of his space.
Since the library doesn't open until noon, we decided to pop into the Core shopping area, nominally to play at
the Devonian Gardens (which doesn't open until noon as well as we found out), but also just to wander around
with no real agenda. I find most of our lives are spent fighting with the boys to move faster through a given
task or activity, so it's kind of nice to just let them explore a bit. Since there was no one in the Core at this
point (it's also closed until noon) other than druggies, cleaning crew, and security people, they loved just chilling
out and exploring the space.

The kids found these grass carpet-covered balls and had a heyday with them. Naturally, it didn't take long to
have a security person come talk to us.

While the weather was kind of crappy and wet outside, we had our lunch in a +15 area that was over top of the
C-train track on 7th avenue, which the kids LOVED! Imagine dinner and a movie - that's how they viewed it.
So, with Devonian closed, we decided to keep on our C-train day and head to the Science Centre for a bit of
exploration and fun. Despite the 'no climbing' signs, Henry and Gracie liked the zoo art area. Said Gracie,
"Um, next time we have a play day Paul, I want us to go to the Zoo." Sure, Gracie, sounds like fun.
A terrific exhibit at the Science Centre right now is the Animals Inside and Out Body Worlds exhibit. I wasn't too
sure how Gracie would handle this, "That's disgusting", she kept saying, but I think she actually did pretty well.
Gracie said she liked the giraffe here the best.
A big draw to the Science Centre is their excellent Children's area, complete with an awesome play ground.
Here, Henry and Walter are showing off the glass window they found.
Our last stop for the day was the Central Library, an absolute gem of a facility for the city of Calgary.
When I asked the kids to stop for a picture with the bobbing bird art, Walter jumped out of his stroller to
ensure he was included too.
Playing in the play structure at the library. They have segmented the kids' area to be on the other side of
the library, thereby keeping most of the screaming and chaos away from the regular library patrons. But, in the
same way, they've managed to make a learning and play space that is actually really excellent and it gets
heavily used during poor weather.
Henry and Gracie found a reading nook where Henry was reading Gracie stories.
After Walter announced that he was done with the day, we made a hasty exit back to the C-train and I fed
the kids full of candy to keep the screaming at bay. Of course, Henry and Gracie just love hanging
out so they basically entertained themselves while I managed Walter.
This year's first Nakiska outing was earlier than usual due to some early snowfall and cold enough temps for
Nakiska to run their snow guns. Henry loves playing on the magic carpet area and flipping the red light/green lights.
He actually turned and worked on his stopping on this trip so I was quite proud of him.

We have an excellent toboggan hill just down from our house (the benefit of a developer making more walk-out basements
is lots of topography around). Here's Henry rocking out his GT Snoracer.

Walter got to help Mommy do some baking. He, of course, loves any time that he can dominate his Mommy's
attention, but especially loves to help.
